Ajax ping: October 14th, 2012
We had our ping all planned for Oct. 14th in Pickering. On October 1st we had a phone call to say the pub was not renewing it's lease and was closing. Not a good feeling when you have 75 fans planning to attend your get together in 13 days! We called the Portly Piper where we'd had pings in the past and made plans to have the ping there.
Unfortunately we've been having camera problems and when Al went to snap, it was not working. If anyone does have any photos that we could post on our site could you please email to me. Thankyou.
Tony from Heritage Associates was very generous and donated some fabulous prizes to our ping. There were two DVD/trivia games, a 50th anniversary jigsaw puzzle and a number of DVD's. One of the DVD's was The Road to Coronation Street...if you have not seen this video you should. It is a must for any Coronation Street. I highly recommend it.

We had a great afternoon with a fabulous bunch of fans. There was trivia, games, Corrie chat, lots of laugh and good food. Thanks to the wonderful staff at the Portly Piper, Dave (dad) our raffle ticket seller, Al our other ticket seller and big helper and my co-organizer Sheila.
